I like the things that you took pictures of; however, I think you can take it a step further. The almost black images are too light for me. I think they could be even darker and maybe more mysterious. For your almost white images I think that some structure went missing in your editing process (I still love the cat). Maybe you could change your editing process to give the images a bit more structure.
I like the images you have taken so far. I do think you could work and choose a few more interesting compositions or subjects to take better pictures for each category. I agree with Tessa in saying that your all black images are too light and I wish they could be darker. Cool ideas though. Keep up the good work.
Hi Neah, I love your 2nd and 4th images. Good job on those! I am not so sure about the cat image and 1st image. I kind of like the last image too. The 3rd image is kind of repeated here with a different angle and editing. I would overall encourage you to take more photos and experiment with the processing. Good luck on them!
Hi Neah. I totally agree with the above comments. I don't feel as though your "Almost Black" are working. I would move image 4 to the "Nothing but Gray" section and then rework and retake images for the others. The cat image feels improperly processed and that is why it isn't successful. The image below that on the hand does begin to work, mostly because it is already and abstraction and you have more latitude in processing an image like that. Look for subject matter that already fits the challenge before processing. So look for a subject that is already "Almost all Black" etc.... Good Luck!
